While many prefer to eat wild caught salmon, wild Atlantic salmon are considered endangered in many parts of the world. Catching wild Atlantic salmon is prohibited in the US! For this reason, farms such as Verlasso’s are crucial; many restaurants and grocery stores might not stock salmon otherwise!
We will ship your package via FedEx Overnight. Your package will arrive to you the next day once it is shipped. We do not ship across weekends or holidays because shipping time extends past the effectiveness of the Gel Packs.
We are unable to ship to PO boxes or FPO or APO addresses. Currently we are able to ship only to continental US addresses.
Storing your Fresh Catch product:
Fresh seafood should be transferred to a refrigerated environment upon receiving and consumed or frozen within 2-3 days. Any seafood received frozen should be kept frozen until ready for preparation. Items can be stored frozen for up to 12 months but are best if consumed within 6 months of purchase.
Best Practices For Thawing Seafood:
The best way to thaw frozen seafood is to remove the product from the original packaging, place it in a plastic bag, and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. If you require faster thawing, we recommend placing the product into a non-vacuum sealed bag and placing it under cool running water for around thirty minutes to an hour.
