Jonah Crab Claws look suspiciously similar to Stone Crab Claws, but they’re a different crab entirely! They are, however, an excellent substitute during the Stone Crab offseason, which is from May 2nd until October 14th. Jonahs are available year round, and also inhabit the east coast of the United States of America, throughout the Atlantic from Florida all the way to Newfoundland. Of note, Jonah Crabs are harvested for both their body and claw meat. Their firmer texture lends itself well to a variety of preparations!
Our Jonah Crab Claws are available in one and five pound bags. They are cooked and triple-scored for your convenience, making them comparatively easier than cracking open a Stone Crab claw!
We will ship your package via FedEx Overnight. Your package will arrive to you the next day once it is shipped. We do not ship across weekends or holidays because shipping time extends past the effectiveness of the Gel Packs.

Storing your Fresh Catch product:
Fresh seafood should be transferred to a refrigerated environment upon receiving and consumed or frozen within 2-3 days. Any seafood received frozen should be kept frozen until ready for preparation. Items can be stored frozen for up to 12 months but are best if consumed within 6 months of purchase.
Best Practices For Thawing Seafood:
The best way to thaw frozen seafood is to remove the product from the original packaging, place it in a plastic bag, and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. If you require faster thawing, we recommend placing the product into a non-vacuum sealed bag and placing it under cool running water for around thirty minutes to an hour.
