Grouper is a sought after catch; even grouper cheeks fly out of our market when they’re available! The whole fish these are cut from are slightly smaller than those of black grouper, but size isn’t everything, right?
These fillets yield a moist, slightly sweet flavor, with a large flake. The flavor is somewhere between bass and halibut. The relatively firm texture makes it great for a variety of preparations. You can grill, bake, broil, or even fry it!
Grouper populations appear to be stable, according to the NOAA. This means our fresh red grouper is a sustainable, wild caught fish that you can enjoy guilt-free!
We will ship your package via FedEx Overnight. Your package will arrive to you the next day once it is shipped. We do not ship across weekends or holidays because shipping time extends past the effectiveness of the Gel Packs.

Storing your Fresh Catch product:
Fresh seafood should be transferred to a refrigerated environment upon receiving and consumed or frozen within 2-3 days. Any seafood received frozen should be kept frozen until ready for preparation. Items can be stored frozen for up to 12 months but are best if consumed within 6 months of purchase.
Best Practices For Thawing Seafood:
The best way to thaw frozen seafood is to remove the product from the original packaging, place it in a plastic bag, and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator for about 6 hours. If you require faster thawing, we recommend placing the product into a non-vacuum sealed bag and placing it under cool running water for around thirty minutes to an hour.
